Nir Tsfaty is a singer-songwriter & composer based in Melbourne, Australia.

Nir was born in Jerusalem, where he carved out a career in music that encompassed three studio albums with his bands Noria and Bell Always and numerous compositions for dance, theatre and film.

With his bands, he has recorded Anthers EP (2011) and Clear Backgrounds (2013) with Noria, and Daylight Slowly Fades (2018) with Bell Always. From those releases, three songs — Last Sunset, My Heart & My Mind, and In Blue Sky — were picked as Song of The Week by Israeli national radio 88fm.

In mid-2019, shortly after his move to Melbourne, Nir started writing his new work, About Whales, in which he replaced the standard rhythm section with a string quartet. The songs explore themes such as life in a new place and the clashes and conflicts between dreams and reality.

In 2020, Nir started collaborating with Melbourne's Invictus Quartet to record two live videos at Meat Market in Melbourne. Following that, the five musicians have played several headline shows in Melbourne, with two sold-out, including the debut night at Melbourne Recital Centre in July 2021.

Tsfaty is currently recording his fourth studio album, scheduled for release in mid-2023.
